Since
1978, the ETA® International (ETA®) has
accredited thousands of electronics technicians worldwide who excel in
areas of electronics installation, service, and support.
ETA is a not-for-profit, independent
certification and testing organization dedicated to serving the needs
and interests of the industry worldwide. Our organization is made
up of Certified Professionals in all fields including Fiber Optics,
Customer Service, Biomedical, Computer and Computer Networking,
Telecommunications, Wireless Communications, Consumer Electronics, Video
Distribution, Avionics, Industrial Electronics, Radar, and Satellite.
Our members range in occupation from college professors to beginner
installers and technicians to company chairmen.
With thousands of members, ETA has its own
Board of Directors, Certification Committees, Test Administration Staff
and over 835 Exam Administrators who test and certify thousands of
technicians and industry specialists each year.
Although certification is not a requirement for
membership, ETA does encourage you to set your sights high and strive to
be your best. Certification is the proof of your achievements, and
ETA offers extensive information to assist you in reaching your
certification and employment goals. Similarly, membership is not required for ETA
certification. ETA certified professionals are encouraged to join
ETA and local chapters. As a not-for-profit professional trade
organization, ETA can help you keep your technical skills up-to-date
with regular "member only" technical publications, seminars,
workshops, newsletters and special services.
As a member, you will meet other professionals
with whom you can share ideas, and discuss problems and solutions.
