INFORMATION

This is a reminder that there are certain invalid combinations of practical exams.

You may NOT sign up for both:
RNM 7.x & MST 7.x
RNM 7.x & RNM 7.x
MST 7.x & MST 7.x
In the same time slot
  • Requires An Associate CET

  • Requires attendance of the appropriate ASTRO® 25 Master Site, Quantar Repeater Site or Radio Network Manager training course.
  • Two Part Exam
    • Written Certification Exam – Theory portion

      • Can be proctored at one of the following:
        1. Local Library.
        2. An ETA Proctor in your area if possible.
        3. Motorola's Technical Training center in Schaumburg, IL.

    • Practical Certification Exam – Hands on Skills

      • An ETA certification administrator will administer practical certification exams at Motorola’s
        Technical Training center in Schaumburg, Illinois.

        • Participants will register for two sessions consecutively in one day. The practical portion
          can be completed even if the theory exam is failed. You may then retake the theory exam
          after 30 days with an ETA proctor near home or at a local library.
  • Certifications are valid for four (4) years. 
  • Certification Fee
    • Certification Fee is $150.00 for the theory exam and $180.00 for the practical exam payable to ETA International.
  • Retake Information
    • Should an individual fail the written portion of any of the above-mentioned test, they are
      entitled to one free retake. The practical can be taken even if the theory exam was failed.
      Retake the theory exam after 30 days with an ETA proctor near home or at a local library.

    • Any ETA International Certified Administrator is eligible to proctor the written exam.
  • Journeyman, Senior and Master
    • These certifications do require an Associate CET

    • If an individual has completed three (3) of the exams  (Quantar RST, MST 7.x and RNM 7.x)
      they will count as a Journeyman option, Senior status, or one option toward a Master Certification.

    • For Senior status, the three (3) exams will be averaged and must have at least 85% to qualify.
